This is a demonstration of a time saving application of the 'selected action command' glitch (see my previous videos). This completely skips the Airport, Teehee Valley, Little Fungitown, Guffawha Ruins, the 4 starbean collecting and Joke's End. It saves approximately 1 hour in the TAS. There are three problems with this skip. 1) Since so much is skipped, you end up very weak for the last bosses so the battles will take forever to complete. 2) The Bowser's Castle sequence break (using the escape way the other way around) does currently only work if you start a file and never save and then do it at the end. I do not know if it works when doing this huge skip, but I will make a testrun soon anyway. If it turns out that it is something very out of the way, like the barreling minigame in the ship then you'd have to go through the front door in Bowser's castle and just complete it. It may be possible to clip through a lot of stuff inside so maybe you can still reach the end fast. 3) This glitch is complicated, the movement glitching is strange and unexpected. I admit that half of what I do in this video, I don't even know myself what I did (lol). What I mean to say is, it will be very hard to optimally use this glitch in a TAS. Also, the rock in front of Teehee valley should be skippable so you never have to get hammer upgrades. I will test that in the testrun. If you still wonder what the progress is on the TAS: The TAS WIP died with this new glitch discovery. I never visit Fungitown, so I don't get mush badges, so there is no point in collecting mushrooms. The earliest point where I collect mushrooms is way back, in the Koopa Cruiser.
