Following a close, but disappointing, Southland Conference opener loss at McNeese, Stephen F. Austin (1-2, 0-1) returns home to face their final test before the rest of the conference slate. With a bye week looming, this game against Northern Colorado feels like a must-win as close losses are what led to the 2023 season collapse of SFA. On the other side, SFA welcomes a Northern Colorado team that didn’t win a ball game last year, and is 0-3 this year, but has proven to be a chippy squad nearly upsetting a ranked Abilene Christian in week 3. Both teams are looking to right the ship, but only one can walk away with this must win game. Who’s it gonna be?
