He also criticised the US for supporting Israel as a cover for a policy to seize the region's resources. It comes as Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Beirut. Meanwhile, US media reports Hashem Safieddine, a potential successor to Hassan Nasrallah, was meeting other Hezbollah leaders in an underground bunker bombed by the IDF. There’s no information on whether he was killed. A series of blasts hit Lebanon's capital, near the main airport, with Israel earlier saying it carried out strikes on Hezbollah's stronghold in southern Beirut, aiming to attack the group's "intelligence headquarters".
