Infix notation is used to write operators in-between their operands, while Postfix notation is used after their operands. Infix notation requires extra information to make the order of evaluation clear, such as operator precedence and associativity rules. Postfix operators are evaluated left-to-right, and brackets cannot be used to change this order. For example, the "+" operator must be performed before the multiplication, and the "*" operator uses the two values immediately preceding them. Prefix operators are evaluated left-to-right, but use values to their right, which can change the order of evaluation if they involve computations. Postfix operators use values to their left, so any values involving computations will already have been calculated as we go left-to-right, ensuring the order of evaluation is not disrupted.
