Driver's Eye View - Sabinov to Plaveč (Slovakia)

In this video we continue our grand tour of Slovakian railways with the second part of our trip from Košice to Muszyna (Poland), starting at Sabinov with our trusty diesel locomotive No.T478.1201, our train heads towards Plaveč through pretty towns and villages, climbing higher the scenery changes as the rolling hills give way to a more mountainous terrain. We descend a little to cross the Poprad (river) into Plaveč station where our complete train will be turned using the triangular junction created by the converging routes to Sabinov, Muszyna and Plaveč. Our train will be the first for a long time to use the Sabinov, Muszyna side of the triangle, which looked to have just been cleared of undergrowth to allow our train access.
