As a fan of Merrell's Hydro Moc I knew these would be an instant cop for me. They are definitely more rugged and durable than the Hydro Moc, while still having good flexibility on foot. I haven't taken them out on the trail yet but I feel they would hold up nicely on any outdoor adventure. Not sure how the liner will stand up to water yet but I think they're supposed to be removed when water is involved anyways. I'm liking how Merrell is experimenting with the Hydro Moc, similarly to what Crocs does with some of their collabs. I'm sure we'll see more Hydro Moc variations in the future. Retail is $170. Sizing: Update - I didnt want them to be too big when wearing without the liner inserts so I had actually went true to size like the normal Hydro Mocs. They are snug but not too tight with the liner inserts and socks. You can also purchase versions of these without the liner for cheaper ($130). Then you can choose from different liners to buy separately, like a Gore-Tex version.
