🦭 UK shore Fishing North Devon in a storm for big fish with a SURPRISE RESCUE🦭

For this adventure we travelled down to the North Devon coast to find some shelter from the high winds and storms that were hitting the Welsh coast. Targets for this session we hoped the dogfish would be thin on the ground and the whiting plentiful to use as bait in the hope for bigger fish. With shelter from the wind we experienced some manic fishing for 4 hours of the flood catching whiting dogfish and small bull huss. This was until the swells picked up and we had to move for safety as waves started to crash over the pier. It was still fishable but made more difficult not being able to fish where we was hoping. Matt did lose some big on his scratching rod which we believe had taken whiting he had hooked an then after a short battle bit through his trace 🤮 To our surprise i spotted a seal pup on the rocks struggling to battle with the swells so i went down to get him and thankfully got him to safety where he could rest up for the night and recover 💪 No big fish as we hoped but all in all still a very enjoyable session with some great lads laughs from start to finish.
