Competitors: Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder, Chevrolet Traverse, Dodge Durango What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the Flex: When the Flex was introduced in 2009, many consumers thought it was a unique full sized crossover SUV. One question, is it a real crossover? Somewhat, it's half wagon and half crossover and we love it that it's unique. For 2013 the Flex gets a host of new updates including a reworked interior and Front headlights that make it look more sporty and fresh for the competition. Power comes from a 3.5 L V6 or step up and get a 3.5 L Twin Turbo V6 and they are all made into a 6-Speed Automatic. Room on the interior is somewhat good and it's very luxurious. Our tester came in at around $50,000, so is it worth it? Well some people might think so because it's unique however we would buy it if the price was lowered by about $7,000, even Ford has it's own full Size crossover the Explorer that has more room inside and you get more bang for the buck. All in all it's a very great crossover from Ford, we think that the people that like unique cars will buy this crossover.
