From Canada to Ecuador: Across the Andes Mountains of Quito and into the Amazon Jungle of Ecuador. Follow us as we leave the cold winter of Canada behind and set off on a three day adventure through the Andes mountains of Ecuador and into the Amazon jungle. Hear we witnessed the breathtaking beauty of nature and encountered diverse wildlife. The first stop on our tour of three South American countries was to begin with a planned stop in the city of Guayaquil. However, a couple weeks before our departure, civil unrest broke out in the country of Ecuador and a state of emergency was declared. Determined not to allow this to disrupt our travel plans, we looked for a solution that would allow us to still safely visit a country which we had always wanted to experience.
