Awkward phone video of me showing how to adjust the hook timing on my Kenmore 385 sewing machine. On my machine, the tools needed are a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the bottom plate and a tiny 3/32 hex head Allen wrench. That post was written before I figured out that you can access the set screw from the bottom, so I have the whole case off. It's more work that way, but it gives a better view of the set screw.
