Cycling around the Great Orme in Wales

In February 2018, me and a couple of mates cycled around the Great Orme in North Wales. It was a total distance of 43 miles, starting and finishing at Rhos-on-Sea, and cycling in an anticlockwise direction. Firstly, we headed west towards Llandudno and then climbed up to the summit of the Great Orme from the one-way toll road (free for bikes). We then completed the circuit of the Great Orme arriving on the west side and cycling into Deganwy along the River Conwy estuary. After crossing the suspension bridge over the river we passed Conwy Castle and arrived at the quayside, where we followed a lovely path on the west side of the river to Conwy Marina. From there, we followed NCN Route 5 along the coast to Llanfairfechan where we stopped at the Beach Pavilion Cafe for lunch. The route back took us over the Sychnant Pass and back into Conwy. The surfaces were mainly tarmac but with some sand and gravel sections, although I'm sure with a bit of re-routing these could be avoided. I found this video in the archives of my computer. It was made prior to me setting up my channel, but I thought I would upload it to give viewers an idea of what cycling around the Great Orme is like. I hope you enjoy it.
