Who: Kevin of adventure whatever What: Today we are bikepacking from Spokane to Fishtrap Rec Area along the fish Lake / Columbia Plateautrail. When: It is the third weekend in October but it's forecasted to be a nice and warm weekend. (Insert pics of forecast) We got a cold snap with some frost Friday morning but I'm hoping the forecast stays true. Where: Washington USA Why: Because we can. I want to see how far I can push my sleeping setup in the wild. This BLM site allows for year round dispersed camping. I am new to the idea of planning trips on public lands and this it aimed at increasing my comfort with such things as as a result advocating for use of public lands. We all have access to use and respect these places but not everyone knows. In a recent podcast * talked about public lands and social media being used to highlight areas that then get ruined. While this does happen and it is unfortunate I also think it makes a lot of sense that we share these places so others know and learn about them and can go enjoy them for themselves.
