A very simple and very cheap fix for the BIG issue with Behringer's JT-4000 Micro - bringing 5 pin MIDI. Other USB only synths may well work with the fix. Previously, everything had to go over a USB-C connection, meaning a piece of music gear was needed to support USB Host functionality, a dedicated USB Host adapter was bought or it had to be connected to a PC. This Raspberry Pi Pico based circuit solves the issue. Once built, other USB only synths or drum machines etc can be connected instead to 5 pin MIDI. The circuit has been tested on the Arduino based mini Piano and also with an Arturia Beatstep Pro. All messages are passed through, including velocity information when tested with the BSP.
