You're about to find out. To add some flare to the new depth, each zone has a rewritten version of the original level theme. creator notes I created this method of portraying all of the 2D sprites as a three dimensional object by dividing all of the flat sprites/images up into blocky "3d pixels" then I extruded the pixels that needed to stand out more than others to achieve this 3d effect. It was a fantastic project - and rewriting all of the music was a thrill too, because I am so fond of sonic music and felt like after 20+ years of playing the game over and over i'd added a little piece of it to my heart.
