This short video is of the first harvest and taste test of our very own homegrown persimmons from our backyard and a persimmon taste test of a ripe and overripe Fuyu persimmon. We were inspired to grow persimmons by ‎LeadFarmer73, and we are so grateful to him for encouraging us to get a tree! How to eat a Fuyu Persimmon? A Fuyu Persimmon is not astringent like an American Persimmon. It can be eaten when it is hard, but can also be eaten when soft and mushy like the American Persimmon.
