Dashcam footage A (front) / B (cab) / C (rear) from the "derecho" straight line wind storm around 6:30 pm, 16 May 2024, on Louisiana in downtown Houston. Timestamp from dashcam is twelve minutes fast (parking garage ticket was printed at 6:40) Worst of the storm caught me at Louisiana and Lamar, with a view of the Wells Fargo building. Both car and driver sustained damage from flying glass and building debris; car wound up with a bunch of fiberglass wall insulation in and on it, pieces of glass in car that didn't start as car windows. Driver ok once dried off and patched up; car still running but insurance labels it "totaled" under a salvage title (tip the intrepid journalist, repair the vehicle: venmo @tallwilliamlarsen)
