He then takes you through two drills he uses to help teach SRLA Rebounding. The first drill is Stationary Rebounding. This drill has players partner up and form 2 parallel lines on the court. This breakdown allows players to work on technique only of the first 3 steps of the rebounding technique- Step, Rip, and Lock. 1:49 The second drill is SRLA Rebounding. It can be done in 3 progressions at a basket. It is a 5 on 5 rebounding drill. 2:50 The first progression has players simply using the first 3 parts of SRLA rebounding technique and boxing out. There is a coach on the perimeter that shoots the ball. As the shot goes up, players use the rebounding technique to box out. The second progression has players implementing the Attack part of SRLA rebounding and the get the ball off of a coach's shot on the perimeter. So players use all 4 parts of the SRLA rebounding technique in this progression. For the third progression the defense now tries to rebound live as the shot goes up. Make sure players are not reverting back to their old form/technique as you go live. If so, spend more time working the Stationary Rebounding drill.
