Looking for Surf and Camp in the Wild in South Africa (not so easy) // EP.64

We are taking our bluelandy from Cape Town to Jeffrey's Bay, looking to surf and camp in the wild as we are used to, in one of the most beautiful stretches of coast ever. it is not as easy as we thought. We had to find a new camera, after many days looking at the second hand market we payed a visit to Cameraworld and found the camera we were looking for! later we also found a wetsuit for Irati and we were ready to leave towards the East. Our first stop Betty's Bay. It was a beautiful surprise and turned out to be one of our favorites places in the whole route. We continued but got kick out of the parking lot by security during the night and we had to come pack to Betty's Bay. We continued east and stopped in Cape Aguhlas , the most southern point in the African continent. We were still looking for waves but we're not so lucky and got kicked out again in another parking lot and had to drive 50 km to find a new spot. One in the middle of a beautiful wild area, but we had to leave early as we were not sure if this place was private or not. We check for waves in Victoria Bay, Plettenberg Bay but nothing surfable. This time we decide to go to a campsite. The next day we hike 10 km around Robberg Nature's Reserve in Plettenberg Bay. This is an incredibly beautiful hike, green and flowers everywhere and beautiful views of the seals enjoying the waves. The terrain changes constantly and one walks on single tracks, on dunes and rocks. It makes it to our top hikes in this trip. After a successful wild camp in the mountains we make it to Jeffrey's Bay /JBay. Here we finally can surf and stay nearly a week to rest ,in reality we are busy planning our next steps as the shipping will take at least two months until Montevideo. Enjoy the Ride! *** 🫶 *** As you may know, we don't have sponsors and all our content is free.
