I don’t think I really got the story across how i wanted to so heres an explantation: Virgil has become distant(heh) and distrusting of the other sides again, mostly Patton, partially because Patton adds to his fear regarding remus/intrusive thoughts, and because deceit pretended to be the side he’s closest to. The other reason is because he feels like he’ll always, in some way, be a dark side, like there’s a part of him we can’t ever fully escape, and he’s trying to distance himself and the other sides so he doesn’t hurt them(once again, mostly Patton he’s afraid of hurting/scaring).
