Track: Oliver Ho - Meta8 (track seems to be unnamed) This time the comparison initially seems to be a bit unfair: one of the flagship models of Rodec, whose guts are the same as the glorious MX-180 50th Anniversary limited edition -you can witness their similar sound in this very same channel-, versus a "tiny little" mixer which seemed to be the entry level to the magnificent Ecler range. However... You can see how they sound, side by side, and also compare their frequency responses. You know I have a big respect and a deep appreciation for the high quality and knowledge that Ecler applies to their models, but, despite I owned a SMAC Pro30 as my first serious mixer, I couldn't remember how good that mixer range behaved, as my next mixer was a Nuo5. So, judge by yourself... Probably many people will appreciate this video, as it might rise the second-hand price for the SMAC series. Oh, and, btw, if you want to know how to dismantle and repair a SMAC (actually the one seen in the video), I have a series of videos explaining it - but they're in Spanish.
