Written by Kris Kristofferson and first recorded by Bobby Bare, who included it on his "Where Have All the Seasons Gone" album in January 1971. Kris recorded the song with Rita Coolidge for their final duet album, Natural Act, and later with Mark Knopfler for The Austin Sessions. I am a little early! But just because today is Kris Kristofferson's Birthday! Hope you like my tribute, I always loved the title and the line "Never is just the echo of forever".
