Django the Poochon has finished his 3 week residential stay When he arrived, his behaviour towards other dogs was difficult to manage, and he would snap or bite other dogs when playing or greeting them. He struggled to recall from dogs or walk past them calmly. During his training, we worked on building his confidence around other dogs and teaching him better social skills. He can now listen and respond to his owners so they can call him away from dogs and ensure his interactions remain positive. Django has learnt to ignore some dogs so he can cope better with the frustration of not being able to greet everyone. He can also come back to his owners rather than feeling overwhelmed by other bouncy dogs. Putting this control in place means Django no longer feels the need to bite or snap because his owners are able to help him out and his social skills can continue to improve!
