This is it Luigi. Ur-Child Difficulty 7/10 Huh? I thought it'd be higher... well anyways Ur-Child is the ultimate challenge of the game sporting a... fairly small 25000 HP. Well ok while that is small for the series overall that is more than double any other boss in the game (except Overlord) but it has the ability to do serious damage to an enemy and then a fair bit of damage to adjacent party members. Just make sure you don't inflict too many debuffs or Dampen otherwise she will use release fully healing her and removing debuffs. But yeah overall kind of an easy and predictable fight just remember to not get debuff crazy and Ur-Child the Endbringer Difficulty 11/10 PSYCHE! While I don't consider her to be the hardest superboss in the series this boss is the introduction of the ultimate bosses having an easier form and a harder form depending on actions taken. Ur-Child is the most basic of these simply fight her in the day time for a fairly easy battle or fight her at night to play a game of Russian Roulette. So let's run down these skills real quick. First off is release which fully heals if you get too debuff happy so don't do that. Second is Light where the boss will remove any buffs on your party if they exceed 11. Rest which is honestly pretty nice as it only heals her for 210 HP. Consider this your breather. Then there's sacrifice which does brutal damage to the target and those adjacent... hilariously some of the attacks hit so hard that they overflow and do 1 damage. Then you have boring skills like Boast and Hatred which are basically the same attack. Then Hymn which is weird because its damage is based off of your job classes. But then there's the scary stuff. Anger Sadness, and Mercy are fire, Ice, and Electric attacks that hit 3-7 times able to cause status effects and binds. Heatskin which is a very rare counter killing anyone that hits her with a physical attack instant killing them... this does not work against revenge blast. Then there's the 3 scariest skills of all. Wildance will throw a bunch of nasty statuses at the party including petrification and instant death. Begone which hits the party for 10000 damage and will wipe anyone it hits if painless is not used... oh but this is picnic mode so it's only gonna do... 1000 damage basically you're either dead or deader than the Fzero franchise either way your HP is 0. This can be endured with Aegis. Lastly is End Wind which is the scariest of them all as its like Begone but single target. Not too bad except it just straight up deletes the character it hits. As I mentioned other sixth stratum bosses would have two difficulty modes depending on conditions. Abyssal God could have an easier phase 1 if you destroyed the limbs, Warped Savior had an easier phase 2 if infected, Star Devourer is kind of a joke anyways and you don't even have to fight him. Then the hardest of them all the Abyssal Princess takes a page from Ur-Child being a tough boss in the day and near impossible at night. 0:00 Weenie Hut Jr. 6:42 Skill issue Either way with this etrian Odyssey 2 is done and I can put this game behind me. Because EO3 is the best game in the collection by far and it's also top 3 best in the series (well maybe top 4 because I really love Etrian Odyssey 4 but I understand some people found it a bit weird since it was the first 3d game)
