Here is a full house tour of my bamboo house in Chiang Dao, Thailand. It’s total about 70 square meters, 2 floor. The first floor has kitchen, working table and chairs, space for chilling, and big garden fenced by bamboo now. 2nd floor is my bedroom and study room, a king size bed also made out of bamboo. A balcony around the whole bedroom with 360 degree views of the mountains. I have a separate bamboo hut as toilet and shower, just right next to the main house. It spent about 2 weeks to build this house. So basically the construction team prepared the bamboo one week before the building. Applied solution to make them water proof and bug proof, then leave them to dry. Mark numbers on each bamboo according to my design. Eventually resemble them on my land. Total cost: 9000$ Where did I get my 2nd hand furnitures? I got some from facebook marketplace. There were couple months I was completely addicted to facebook marketplace. Every morning the first thing I do is to check if there’s any good stuff to add to my house. Usually the good things will be sold out very soon. So I will follow their instagram, Line or Facebook, ask the staff to reserve the items that I want, than pick them up when it’s convenient. These shops often do promotions, so pay attention to their updates, you might be able to buy some really good stuff with very low price. About me 🤠 I’m a Chinese girl been living in Thailand for 4 years now. COVID has completely changed my plan for life.
