Shaniwar Wada, built in 1732 by Peshwa Baji Rao I, is a historic fort in Pune, Maharashtra, and a symbol of Maratha heritage. Once the grand seat of the Peshwas, it spans 625 acres and features impressive architecture, including the towering Delhi Darwaza and the public audience hall, Diwan-i-Aam. Despite being partially destroyed by a mysterious fire in 1828, the fort's ruins still captivate visitors.
