Extreme climate events such as droughts, bushfires and floods are no longer a once in a lifetime event. Such events often have a cumulative effect on communities and there are currently very few tools for identifying the early warning signs or detecting changes in community wellbeing over time. The ‘Sharing Early Insights for Resilient Communities’ project has brought together new and unusual data sets as indicators of changing resilience to help us better spot changes and provide faster assistance where it’s needed most. The Southern NSW Innovation Hub's Agricultural Innovation Hubs Program is joint initiative with Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. This project is a collaboration across Charles Sturt University, the Australian National University, University of Canberra and the University of Wollongong.
