Flex PCB Repair - Roland JD-800 keyboard synthesiser

How to repair the flex PCB on a Roland JD800 synthesiser. These flexible PCB’s are no longer made and they can easily become broken where it connects to another flex cable. Here I show how it can be repaired and the connector flex pcb replaced with a ribbon cable, with a more robust connection. The tracks on the keyboard flex PCB can not be soldered to. I know because I tried. So the repair as shown in one of my earlier video can’t be done on this. Instead I use conductive silver glue/ink to make the electrical connections. It worked well.
