Today I'll be going over what I consider to be the top 3 kits to run a AK, with a full combat load. A combat load is traditionally 7 x 30 round magazines (210 rounds) for intermediate caliber rifles. Being that an AK is an intermediate caliber rifle, they should be of no exception to this standard, even if they are chambered in 7.62x39. 7.62x39 mags are larger and heavier (when fully loaded) than AR mags, as well as any 5.45/5.56 AK mags. As a result of this, many choose to carry less ammunition due to the increased weight of the rounds, as well as running into issues on where to carry the larger mags.
