"Jesus Has Enough For Everyone" John 6:1-14 w/Thomas Clark

In John 6, Jesus went out into the plain to be with His followers and crowds of people followed Him because they saw Him heal people who were sick. The Feast of the Passover was near which means that the crowds would have been even larger as many other people who were on the way to Jerusalem followed the other crowds to be near Jesus. This is why there were at least 5,000 men, besides women and children, present and, after a long trip, in need of food in the middle of a deserted place. Jesus told His followers to obtain food from some, or any, of the people that they could use to feed all of the people. All they could find were two small fish and five inferior pieces of bread, but that was more than enough for Jesus to use to feed every person who was present. What an incredible miracle! After the people were fed and full, Jesus told the followers to collect what the people could not eat, and they had twelve baskets left over. This miracle was not about the food, but instead, it was about Israel and how the twelve apostles were released to share Jesus with the entire nation. Jesus is the Bread of Life, and as much as the modern-day church generously offers food to those in need, the mission of God is about people having His peace that is only found in the salvation that Jesus provides.
