Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 12MAR2024

This California Zephyr #5 made its station stop in Fort Morgan at 0608 MDT (1 hr. & 7 min. late). Powering this 8-car consist were P42 #198 & P40 #817. They brought the train to a stop with car 7 to the parking area platform for passenger service to 5 departing passengers. Then Kelly walked 1 new patron to car 3 (sleeper) and boarded the train from there. He also corrected me on his movement to a different route (#3 & #4) as that will come later. My bad. With the passenger work safely completed, the high ball was given and on a clear signal at west Ft. Morgan CP, the Zephyr continued its westward trek with the next station being Denver's Union Station. My thanks to the operating crew and staff of today's zephyr. Everyone please stay safe!
