With its lush green forests and sparkling waters, Lappeenranta has an almost fairytale-like charm. The city is celebrated for its environmental sustainability and is recognized as the "Climate Capital of Finland," earning awards for its clean and pristine environment. Boat riding is a cherished activity in Finland, especially in cities with lakeside access. In Lappeenranta, the easy access to Lake Saimaa makes boating a popular pastime for both locals and visitors. Having lived in Lappeenranta for two years while studying at Lappeenranta University of Technology, I’ve had the privilege of exploring the lake daily and forming cherished memories and friendships.
