We spent an amazing day in Hoi An. Hội An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals. The former port city’s melting-pot history is reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda. We booked the tour with Venus Travel Vietnam. The tour started with our pick up from our Hotel in Danang at 11:30. We boarded our comfy van and headed towards Hoi An, which was 40 minutes drive from our hotel. We were taken straight to the coconut village where we boarded our coconut boat. The coconut boat tour included Sightseeing on the river, Traditional fishing performance by fishing mesh, captain fastly spinning the boat dance around and catching crabs on river. After a wonderful time in coconut village we boarded our van again to head towards the Hoi An ancient town. We visited a working silk factory and saw the silk making process and embroidery. If you wish you can get tailored made clothes for less than a $100 within a few hours and buy silk scarfs and other products for as less as $2. We continued our tour of the town and saw the popovers e Bridge. We then explored the town on rented bike for 1 hour and this was the best way to explore the town. We also got a massage by the river and it was super cheap, only costed us $5 for 30 minutes. After exploring the city a bit more we hopped on the traditional rowing boat and had the best time!! The boat tour is around $10 for a private ride that includes the lantern that can be released in the river. We ended the day with a beautiful meal by the river!! It truly was a magical experience and we cannot recommend it enough!! Cannot wait to come back!
