Unbelievable. This is some of the most anointed worship I've ever heard, and the album is beautifully balanced song-wise. I've always been a supporter of Elevation Church and the ministry that Pastor Steven Furtick has established; They're great! If you haven't picked the album up yet, PLEASE do. My approach to the drums in this cover was unique in that this album was tracked with two live drummers; one playing a full kit, and the other with an auxiliary percussion set up. I decided to keep the foundation of the drum parts organic and simple throughout most of this one. For the bridge, I wanted to add auxiliary tom hits as they were in the live recording. I love the concept of having the layered drum parts in covers, and it's definitely something that I'll be doing more of in future releases! I want to give a shout out to my man Timmy for handling the audio on this cover. He did a fantastic job of doing the Savior drums and Zildjian cymbals justice in this mix!
