Captain Ahab is my favourite trail in Moab, Utah. The "Captain" is outstanding! It is incredibly scenic, offers a wide range of challenging, naturally occurring rideable features. This awesome mountain biking trail will appeal to all expert riders and the more energetic intermediate riders! I would say this trail is even better than the more popular Porcupine Rim! As you will see in this video, the ride starts out great, gets even better along the way and ends with an exhilarating finish. After climbing up HyMasa to a spectacular viewpoint it then transitions to the Captain Ahab downhill. The Captain offers sections of technical but manageable drops, followed by high speed flowy segments along ridge lines then the lower section follows along a narrow trail on a steep cross-angle slope.
