In this video, we will rank and explore Robert Redford's 10 greatest movies. The term Hollywood royalty is one that gets thrown around a lot, but when we’re talking about Robert Redford, it’s one that really does apply. After all, how many actors out there can say they’ve got an entire festival named after one of their characters, and not just any festival, one of the most famous in the world, The Sundance Film Festival. Of course, that one would get its name from the role Robert Redford so memorably played in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid alongside Paul Newman. But this was far from the only memorable role of his lengthy career. No, we could honestly sit here all day listing his performances in movies like The Sting, The Natural, Three Days of Condor, and All The President’s Men. And that’s not even getting into his directorial work in projects such as A River Runs Through It, Quiz Show, and The Horse Whisperer, or his appearances in TV series like Perry Mason and Alfred Hitchock Presents. Unsurprisingly then, over the course of his career Robert Redford has won many awards for his work both in front of the camera and behind it, with some of the most notable of these being his Academy Award for Best Director for Ordinary People, and his BAFTA for that oh so famous portrayal of The Sundance Kid. And even though he might have retired now, there’s always the possibility he’ll return to acting at some point in the future to give us one more great performance before all is said and done.
