AMC Gremlin - More Than Appearances

Howdy! :D Something that may come as a surprise, but I have always had a soft spot for the AMC Gremlin. While the Pacer is considered the iconic AMC car due to its bubbly styling and many quirky features, the Gremlin was essentially the perfect economy car for the 1970s United States, marrying practical and functional space, akin to modern hatchbacks, with styling that, while indeed subject to taste, was undeniably striking. Sadly, the AMC Gremlin, through no real fault of its own, has been shunted into the same siding as other poorly built American economy cars of the time, despite the fact that it was an endearing little machine that helped keep US drivers moving during the height of the oil crisis.
