Packrafting the San Juan River in southeast Utah Join us as we paddle the San Juan River in southeastern Utah, admire native American rock art and explore its side canyons. We spend a leisurely 7 days in April paddling 84 miles from the Sand Island Campground, near Bluff, to the Clay Hills take-out in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Notable rapids include Four Foot Rapid (II), Eight Foot Rapid (II), Ledge Rapid (II), Gypsum Creek Rapid (II), Ross Rapid (II), Government Rapid (III) and Slickhorn Rapid (II), all of which were fairly easy in packrafts at flow of 680 to 880 cfs.
