What are the common mistakes you see in daily scrums?

In #agile environments that practice #scrum, a #dailyscrum is a 15 minute meeting held daily that generally involves the #developmentteam, the #productowner and when necessary, the #scrummaster. The concept of the #dailyscrum is to have each of the members of the development team voice what they are working on and whether there are any impediments to their progress or success. In theory, each member of the team briefly highlights what they are working on, what they anticipate achieving in the day, and if necessary, requests an assist from someone within the #scrumteam to achieve their daily goal. Meetings have a habit of going wrong without great facilitation and the daily scrum is no different. I've seen daily scrum meetings become 45 minute to 1 hour affairs where every detail is reported as if the scrum master is a project manager and the team members are all responsible for updating the scrum master on their progress. There are a lot of ways that a meeting can go wrong and in this short video, John McFadyen highlights some of the ways in which these meetings tend to go south.
