Israel video tour with David Hyman, professional tour guide. The Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter is located on the northern shore of Lake Kinneret ( The Sea of Galilee). It is actually part of Tabgha and therefore 2 of the springs flow here (Tabgha is the mispronounced name of "Heptapegon = 7 springs). An ancient stone marks the place where Jesus and his disciples ate breakfast together, fish cooked on a charcoal fire. This event appears in Jhon's Gospel chapter 21 and happens after the death and resurrection of Christ, and therefore is considered the third apparition of the risen Christ. After breakfast, Jesus calls on Peter, affirms his love to him, and orders him to continue the leadership role of the flock, with the words: Feed my lambs, tend my sheep, feed my sheep. Since this is the site that Peter received the Primacy role in the church to be, the site was visited by two Popes and alters and the brass doors were built in their honor.
