Recently the winds have dropped off so I have been using my Downwind board a lot more the lighter conditions. As a result ive had days where the wind came up and I was forced to use it in more wind than I thought it would be good for. A revelation! Im now using it all the time and using it with smaller wings and foils than I ever thought possible in the wind strengths normally reserved for bigger wings and foils. If you foil in gusty conditions or areas with lighter winds these types or board are certainly worth a look. Here's my thoughts on why these types of board could be your only board that you need.
