The Bolder Skylodge is a unique retreat located on a cliff’s edge overlooking Lyse Fjord. The hotel (partially designed by Vipp, a Danish maker of cool things) is made up of two types of cabins – Star Lodges and Sky Lodges, plus the even more luxe grand lodge. The Star Lodges were designed by Norwegian studio Snøhetta in cooperation with: homeward brand Vipp, the Norwegian furniture company Eikund, and Expo Nova, a Norwegian furniture and lighting company. The lodges are scattered across the natural setting, and the designers and owner get extra points for making these drool-worthy cabins light on the land. The interiors beautifully blend in with the surroundings, and all cabins have complete kitchens, featuring some of Norway’s worst coffee (sorry, but got to keep it real).
