Taekwon-do Blocks | Basic Blocking Techniques with Hands & Forearms 🥋👊🏻

Hello everyone! Today we are going to learn the basic blocking techniques. I am going to show you how to do perform these blocks with your hands and forearms in the right way. You can start practicing these techniques by yourself as advised. I included the Korean names (I am sorry if I made any mistakes here) as well as the English names for the techniques. Nora Csiszar is a 3rd dan black belt ITF Taekwond-do master. Taekwondo blocks (known as makgi) are used to stop and deflect an incoming attack. They engage various parts of the arm. The hand may be held in different positions: closed fist, knifehand, palmheel, etc. Each block is suitable for a particular kind of attack and may be combined with another punch or kick to make a counter-attack. You should perform these blocks with speed & power because they can "hurt" an opponent (as you counter their attack) and make them less willing to attack you. *** DISCLAIMER: It is strongly recommended that you consult with your physician before beginning any exercise program.
