Krkonoše National Park turns into spectacular winter wonderland with frozen trees under heavy layer of snow every year. Krkonoše Mountains, which is the highest mountain range of Czech Republic, with its highest mountain - Snow Mountain (Sněžka - 1602 m), has also been listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve site. #Krkonoše Mountains are beautiful in every season, but when they are blanketed with fresh cover of snow, they immediately become #winter #wonderland that’s nearly impossible to resist. You can experience this enchanting winter landscape on downhill or cross-country skis, as well as on foot on well maintained winter paths over Krkonoše’s mountain peaks. It’s no wonder that Krkonoše are the most visited mountains in Czechia for its glacial corries contrasting with bare-stone ridges, large alpine meadows with timber cottages down in the valleys, the murmur of waterfalls with the mysterious silence of peat bogs.
