Bandai Azuma Skyline is a scenic road that connects Central Fukushima City, Joudodaira, and Tsuchiyu Pass. Joudodaira, the destination of this trip, is a marshland located at 1,600 m in the heart of active volcanoes, the Azuma Mountains. On this drive, we start in a suburb of Fukushima City, go up to Joudodaira, and then return to central Fukushima City. Returning to Fukushima City, we stop by Tkayu Hot Spring. It has an excellent public spa and offers a private bathroom at a low price. 1,000 JPY (6.5 USD) + 250 JPY per person (50 min) as of 2024.
