With 2015 marking the 50th anniversary of the Severn Valley Railway, this year's autumn gala was due to be something rather special. This was made sure by the appearance of 46100 'Royal Scot', working her first public trains since her return from a lengthy overhaul, as well as the return to the line by two former residents, 70000 'Britannia' and Ivatt 2 no.46521, a locomotive made famous by her appearances in the BBC sitcom, 'Oh, Doctor Beeching!', filmed on location at the SVR's Arley Station.
