Lucas Lepri, One X-Spider Guard Sweep: Jiu-Jitsu Magazine, Issue #26.

If you've ever strolled over to or walked past the winner's podium when the lightweight black belts are being announced at an IBJJF event, then you probably know who Lucas Lepri is. Just one of the standouts within the Alliance camp, Lucas is consistently on the podium in every event he enters (even those outside of IBJJF). His amazing skill set and strategic game has helped keep him there since 2007 when he shocked the jiu-jitsu community by winning the IBJJF World Championship within his first year at the black belt level. He is one of the few competitors that isn't in a heavier weight class and has a win over Leandro Lo. Just shy of being able to compete at the Master's level (age 30+), Lucas won another world title this year in amazing fashion by outscoring his competition 41-0 through 4 (out of 5) matches against Gabriel Rollo, Rodrigo de Freitas, Roberto Satoshi, and JT Torres. His brand new school under the Alliance banner opens this month in Charlotte, North Carolina; so if you're in the area and want to train, be sure to pay a visit. Once he completes the sweep, he then passes the half guard to go to full mount. Assisting him is Kennedy Maciel.
