Incus started as a percussion voice, and was smelted into something even wilder: create kicks for any genre, snares, and metallic hits, or go melodic and create FM plucks, analog-style basslines, and so much more. Both FM and additive synthesis can be quite complex, but Incus uses a simple set of controls to keep things straightforward. The mode switch and the Attack control are directly linked: the left portion of the Attack control changes to control noise level, pitch envelope amount, or FM amount in each respective mode. Past noon, the attack parameter instead controls the envelope attack time. The Time parameter controls decay time. Shape morphs through waveforms, and Temper controls an aggressive wavefolder. Alloy and Weight work together: when Alloy is turned down, Weight adds saturation to the sound. As Alloy is turned up saturation is reduced, and Weight instead changes the tuning of the additive/FM oscillators. Alia is a 10HP oscillator platform much like the Versio and Legio platforms. With Alia, we are pleased to bring back Cursus and Ataraxic Iteritas, as well as Manis and Basimilus. We've also released new voices on Alia: Debel and Incus.
