NISSAN X-trail T30 IRONMAN AND KYB EXCEL-G SUSPENSION LIFT - MODs Finally, I have installed the lift springs and new struts/shocks on my Nissan X-trail T30. I have chosen Ironman springs with a load rating of 50kgs on the front and 200kgs on the rear. The spings are 35mm or 1.5" higher than standard which allows me to clear my 235/70 R16 all terrain tyres. The extra load rating of the Ironman springs works very well for our use. We load up the X-trail with all our camping gear and take it offroad. The extra load rating of the lift springs prevents the vehicle from sagging when it is fully loaded. The KYB Excel-G shocks perform really well and is a very good match for the stiffer springs. The X-trail is very stable on and off-road.
