I prefer eating mash daal with boiled rice but you can also eat it with chapatti. #FeastWithEase #TadkaMashDaal #UradDaal #MashDaalFry Ingredients : Oil 1/4 cup (Tail) Onion 1 chopped (Pyaaz) Cloves 3 (Laung) Black peppercorns 7 (Sabut kali mirch) Tomato puree 1/2 cup (Tamatar pisse hue) Green chilies slit 3 (Hari mirchen) Salt 1/2 tsp or to taste (Namak) Red chili powder 1/2 tsp (Lal mirch powder) Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp (Haldi powder) Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp (Adrak lehsan paste) White lentil gram 250 gm boiled (Mash daal ubli huwi) Green coriander chopped 1/4 cup (Hara dhania) Water 1/4 cup (Pani) Cumin powder 1/2 tsp (Zeera powder) For Tarka : Oil 1/4 cup (Tail) Whole red chilies 7-8 (Sabut lal mirch) Cumin 1 tsp (Zeera) Paprika powder 1 tsp (Kashmiri lal mirch) Directions : In a pot heat oil. (Ek pateele me tail garam kren) Add onion and fry until light golden brown. (Pyaaz shamil kr k hlka golden brown hone tk fry kren) Add cloves, black peppercorns, tomato puree and fry for 1 minute. (Laung, sabut kali mirch or tomato puree shamil kr k ek minute k lye fry kren) Add green chilies, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and mix well on high heat. (Hari mirche, namak, lal mirch powder, or haldi powder daal kr tez aanch pr mix kren) Add ginger garlic paste and mix well on high heat. (Adrak lehsan paste shamil kr k tez aanch pr mix kren) Add boiled white lentil gram and mix well. (Ubli maash dal shamil kr k mix krlen) Add chopped green coriander, water and mix. (Hara dhania or pani shamil kr k mix krlen) Add cumin powder and mix well. (Zeera powder shamil kr k mix krlen) Cover and cook on slow flame for 10 minutes. (Dhakk kr hlki aanch pr 10 minutes k lye paka len) For Tarka : Heat oil. (Tail garam krlen) Add whole red chilies and fry for 1 minute on slow flame. (Sabut lal mirch shamil kr k 1 minute k lye hlki aanch pr 1 minute k lye fry kren) Add cumin seeds and fry. (Zeera shamil kr k fry kren) Close flame and add paprika powder.
