Hosted by the IAGA + the National Alliance for Accessible Golf Session Description Join Dave Barton, PGA, Executive Director of the National Alliance for Accessible Golf and Jason Sfire, National Alliance Board Member, Board President of the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association and a multi-sport adaptive athlete and coach as they discuss the importance of educating adaptive event volunteers and staff on working with and supporting adaptive athletes. Dave and Jason will provide an overview of the education and resources provided by the Alliance at no-cost to the golf industry with an emphasis on the newly released “Volunteer and Staff Training for Adaptive Golf Events” including types of impairments, disability etiquette and communications. Learn how event coordinators can steer staff and volunteers to complete this training and earn a Certificate of Completion.
